Business Analyst

Job Role:

Reporting directly into the Product Owner for the Nasdaq Investigator for AML, the Business Analyst will be closely involved in the design and delivery of the solution to achieve business goals. The Business Analyst will contribute to key areas:

Product Development

  • Feature design and specification to ensure product features deliver customer efficiency and quality within technical constraints
  • Working on development sprints as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to refine requirements and tasks
  • Reviewing and signing off work outputs
  • Contributing expertise to technical teams in production related meetings within an Agile based production process
  • Delivering product features as required – design documents, customer training documents, workflows, and other documents

Customer Engagement

  • Take a leading role within customer deployment team to deliver the solution successfully into customers
  • Work with customer SMEs to capture judgements on investigation examples to calibrate the Nasdaq Investigator solution
  • Work with customers and colleagues to interpret solution results and input to improve performance
  • Contribute to reports and presentations to update project progress and key milestones to customers

Sales and Marketing Support

  • Attend customer and external partner meetings to input Nasdaq product knowledge and how it delivers value to customers
  • Contribute to the development of sales and marketing materials – presentations, blogs, whitepapers, business case, statement of work, etc


Investigation Knowledge

  • Full and detailed knowledge of expert investigation processes applied in Financial Institutions
  • Broad knowledge of different domains within Financial Crime and Compliance
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and risk / audit processes for FCC within banks
  • Knowledge of key business metrics within FCC for efficiency, risk, and quality

Strategic FCC Perspective

  • Experience and knowledge of strategic transformation projects within FCC
    • Key metrics and outputs required by FCC across efficiency, risk and quality
    • Transformation challenges and opportunities relating to FCC operational processes – investigation workflows, quality assurance, level 1 / level 2, risk steward requirements, reporting
    • Experience of technology transformation projects within FCC that target automation of human activities
  • Senior involvement in FCC transformation projects
    • Knowledge of working with cross functional teams in bank transformation projects
    • Communication and reporting standards to key stakeholders within FCC transformation projects – briefings, SteerCo reporting
